AOLI JOURNAL / ON THE ROAD
A roadside kit checklist for your next road trip
Preparing for a longer drive is easier when you check the car and its kit together. Portable equipment supports a plan; it does not replace vehicle maintenance or roadside assistance.

Start with the vehicle
Check the vehicle’s service needs, tires, lights and battery condition using the owner’s guidance. Resolve visible faults before a journey instead of depending on accessories to work around them.
Match the tools to the car
If you carry a jump starter, confirm its voltage and stated engine compatibility. For an inflator, confirm tire compatibility and power needs. Include the correct cables, adapters and instructions.
Make the kit easy to use
Keep equipment secured and accessible, store emergency contact details and know where to stop safely. Review operating instructions before an emergency, when you have time to understand them.
